GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

 

CYCLE: Indoor cycle provides a fitness journey for all levels that takes the training principles of bicycle racing brings them indoors, and blends them with a mind/muscle connection providing an aerobic workout that encourage you to find the champion within. 


BODY PUMP: Guaranteed to change the shape of your body!!! A unique, fun, and result oriented way to increase your strength and endurance.  This high energy class is set to motivating music and led by enthusiastic instructors utilizing barbells, you will PUMP UP your body like never before!! A Les Mills program 


STEP: Step aerobics is a form of aerobic exercise using of an elevated platform (the step). The height can be tailored to individual needs by inserting risers under the step. Usually done with choreographed movements designed to increase heartrate and promote calorie burn and muscle toning. 


BODYCOMBAT™ is the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai. A Les Mills program. 


YOGA 2.0: A dynamic and vigorous style which synchronizes breath and movement, endures longer holds on the poses, and cleanses and focuses the mind. The steady breathing builds heat in the body and therefore flexibility creating a higher level of vitality and freedom. 


ZUMBA: This special class is a fusion of Latin and International music-dance themes creating a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system!  Zumba utilizes the principals of fitness interval training and resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning and total body toning! 


OVERDRIVE: This fun, non-choreographed class includes a little bit of everything; step, interval training, strength training, agility and speed training...all in one action packed hour!  No fancy steps just FUN and SWEAT!!

    
TABATA:  Tabata training is one of the most popular forms of high-intensity interval training (HIIT). It consists of eight rounds of ultra-high-intensity exercises in a specific 20-seconds-on, 10-seconds-off interval. 


BUTTS & GUTTS: Tighten up your butt and your abs...!Designed to tone and strengthen all leg muscled including the gluteas maximus and all the abdominal/lower back core areas of the body. You will combine these exercise with some minimal upper body toning exercises to give you a fantastic full body experience like you've never had. 


CSI (CARDIO STRENGTH INTERVALS): This class is designed to help with your cardiovascular strength & endurance through various movements and styles of aerobic & strength exercises.

BARBELL STRENGTH: Designed to increase muscle strength and endurance using combinations of free weights such as dumbbells, barbells, kettleballs, etc.

 
BARRE METHOD: The Bar Method® is a one-hour, non-impact total body workout. It starts with a warmup, free-weight exercises and push-ups and then moves on to intense, isometric leg work at the bar, followed by abdominal work at the bar and on mats. Every exercise includes active stretching to elongate the targeted muscles. 


DANCE FUSION: A fresh and funky cardio class that will keep you movin' and groovin' to the latest beats.  This class helps improve coordination and body awareness through fun and exciting dance movements. 


STRENGTH 4 YOGA: A yoga class designed to help you increase you overall body strength by incorporating other body weight exercises not usually done within the typical yoga realm. 


PUNCH & PUMP: An intense cardio workout that incorporates kick boxing, power moves, plyometrics, and toning exercises.

    
YOGALATES: A diverse class combines the best of both Pilates mat and multi-level yoga. It blends breathing,stretching and poses of yoga, while incorporating the movement and sequences of Pilates mat. 


LOW & SCULPT: This class combines two basic forms of getting in shape; low impact aerobics and all over body toning!  Join the fun as your instructor leads you through a dynamic low impact cardio section and finishes your workout with exercises designed to tone and strengthen your muscles!  Don’t miss this low “joint” stress workout!      


YOGA: A sound mind and a sound body are what you’ll achieve with this total body experience. Different styles of yoga may be incorporated but your mind and body will thank you when you are done. Namaste! 


HIP HOP JAM: A progressive fusion of dance move such as hip hop, latin, jazz, etc designed to give you a fun dance exercise class. 


SCULPT: The Sculpt class is a 30 minute, non-impact total body workout. It starts with a warm-up, freeweight exercises and push-ups and then moves on to intense, bodyweight exercises, followed by abdominal work on mats. Every exercise includes active stretching to elongate the targeted muscles. 


POWER YOGA: Vynasa flow, light weight usage, with advanced poses. Advanced class. 


STEP COMBO: Half step cardio and the other half is instructors choice of cardio (ie, basic aerobic, kick box, etc.)    

 
KICK HIIT: An athletic type workout that combines vigorous upper body movements such as jabs, hooks and upper cuts and power punches with kicks and drills for a great all-over workout! 


CORE BALL: Strength exercises done with Stability balls (also called exercise balls, balance balls, Swiss balls, or fitness balls) designed to strengthen abs and other core muscles including your back muscles and the muscles around the pelvis. 


CARDIO DANCE FITNESS: This funky, sassy high energy dance class is guaranteed to bring out your inner dance champion. Groove to you favorite artists newest pop hits, with a latin flare added in. This class will focus on cardio and toning all designed to burn fat, tighten the muscles and dance your cares away! 


POWER SCULPT: Combo weight training and stretching/toning class.

INTEGRATIVE YOGA: (A GREAT PLACE TO BEGIN) Concentrating on working safely with aging adults & the less active, while keepingmedical conditions under consideration. This Yoga class will help with breathing, balance, flexibility & mental fitness.

PILATES:  Developed in the 1920s by Joseph H. Pilates. Pilates Mat exercises will help you gain core strength, flatten and tighten abdominals,increase overall flexibility, streamline body shape and improve posture.
